Bella Thorne recently joined a new charity called Staples for Students. She filmed a PSA for them, asking for help to raise the basic school supplies for those who cannot afford the required items for school, such as notebooks or pens. You will find the actual PSA down below, along with a behind the scenes video of her PSA shoot. Besides doing the PSA, she also did some promotional items for their website and recently released this statement about her involvement with the group behind this. Here is what she had to say about the charity and her love of school.
“I really want to raise my hand more, but sometimes I don’t because I get really shy, I love school obviously, I would definitely raise my hand to help collect school supplies!”
I am glad that she has joined this charity and is wanting to help bring a chance of a better education for those who just don’t have the means. While some may feel that this charity doesn’t do much, it does bring each student a chance to do better for the world and for their peers. Hopefully it will catch on and fans of Bella’s will follow her advice. Places like Target or WalMart are good places to build a stock pile of school basics for cheap to give back. That wouldn’t require a lot of money or even time, but could help a student have the proper education that every student in the US has a right to.
