Bella’s Seventeen Photoshoot: Recreate the look
Seventeen Prom Cover + Photoshoot
The Shake It Up stars and best friends give their take on everything from the perfect dress to prom dates. Check Bella’s answers:
What Bella’s Dream Prom Dress Looks Like
“I think that since it’s prom, you should definitely wear a long dress. You can wear a short one anytime! This is the moment when you get to be a princess, and for me, that means a sweetheart neckline, long, then pouf—out and big.”
On The Perfect Prom Music
My dream artist to play at prom would be Frank Ocean. ‘Thinking Of You’ is one of my favorite songs. He makes really sweet music for slow dancing at prom.”
How The DJ Can Get Her On The Dance Floor
“I like ‘As Long As You Love Me’ and ‘Boyfriend’ by Justin Bieber. It gets you moving—you just can’t help it! And ‘Teach Me How To Dougie’ gets Zendaya and I every time.”
On The Meaning Of Her Promise Ring
“It’s not the traditional promise ring. It’s basically to always stay truthful. I think that’s a really important part of a relationship, that you’re always honest with each other. The [other] ring has a heart and, ‘Tristan and Bella’ is inscribed. It’s a promise to stay pure to ourselves.”
Glitter Magazine Interview
Bella Thorne graces the fall 2012 cover of Glitter magazine.
The 15-year-old actress, who just celebrated her birthday this week, chatted with the glossy about Shake It Up, giving back and more. Check it:
On lessons she’s learned from Shake It Up: “Always treat each other with kindness, appreciate what you have, and hard work pays off.”
On if she ruled the world: “I would find a way to seriously crack down on cyber bullying and help make schools a more pleasant place to attend without the fear of bullies.”
On what’s next for her: “Hopefully, I will get to do some more music and perform for my fans. I’d also like to become more involved with dosomething.org. It is a passion of mine to be involved in my community.”
On her favorite episode so far: “I love the episode about dyslexia in the 1st season because I got to share my personal experience with viewers and kids that may have a disability and could relate to my character and her struggle. From season 2, I loved filming the 50′s episode and getting the chance to be retro and live in a time where things are very different than today. My last favorite would be an episode that hasn’t aired yet but is the most fun I’ve had on set. I can’t say much about it but let’s just say things are going to be very funny and very embarrassing.”
Behind-The-Scenes of “TTYLXOX/Something To Dance For”
When Bella Thorne and Zendaya invited us to their music video shoot for “Something to Dance For/TTYLXOX Mash-Up,” we packed our cameras and headed to the top secret location in Hollywood, California. When we arrived, B+Z greeted us with huge hugs! For the rest of the day, we watched the girls and found out how a music video is actually made! Between scenes, Bella chatted with her mom and hung out with her good friend, Pia Mia. After Zendaya got her hair and makeup done, she checked in with her mom and dad. Later, she got a surprise visit from her adorable niece!
By the end of the day, this catchy song was totally stuck in our heads! Check out all the super exclusive footage we got! Don’t forget to comment below and let us know what you think of the song — we’ll pick 10 users to win Shake It Up soundtracks signed by Bella and Zendaya!

Bella Talks About Her “Frenemies” Character
Bella Thorne’s new Disney Channel Original Movie Frenemies premieres tonight, and we caught up with the Cuban American actress over the phone yesterday to chat about it!
Tell us about the film Frenemies!
The film tells different storylines. We are the second storyline that comes in. It’s about my character who’s really into fashion on a blog site and her best friend, who is played by Zendaya, does all the writing on the blog site. We want to do this job together and we have to pick who is editor… and the other one can’t work on the blog. So we have to fight for this together and do all these crazy things to each other and we become frenemies.
Tell us about your role in the movie.
My character Avalon is a lot of fun – she’s kind of like my character CeCe in a way, but she’s really girly though. She’s very fashion-forward and loves the blog site like it’s her baby. She loves her best friend and sadly, they have to go against each other and she’s really not happy about it in the movie.
You’re best friends in real life with Zendaya. Was it difficult to play her frenemy in the film?
It’s not difficult at all – it was actually a lot of fun because Zendaya and I never fight. We thought, ‘Oh, this is actually kind of fun!’ It was really different for us.
Have you ever had a frenemy in real life?
No. I think if I was in middle or high school, I think I would because I think everyone does in that age category. But no, I’ve never had one. There are just some people who I just don’t know.
Avalon is really fashionable in Frenemies. Do you have a specific fashion style or does it always change?
I think it always, always changes. It’s definitely really different. I could go from tomboy to girly-girl, back to tomboy, then maybe rocker. It changes all the time!
How is Avalon different from your Shake It up character, Cece Jones?
I think it’s more of her style – Avalon is more girly. And her fashion is different.
Do you have a love interest in the movie?
I do. His name is Connor and he’s a really cool kid. I’ve known him for a while. It was fun shooting with him because he’s really funny, but he’s my character’s frenemy.
Is Avalon Latina?
Well, they never go through that, but I’m a Latina, so I’m guessing my character is!
