Bella Thorne and Zendaya partcipated in Walkathon Positivo, a 5K and community event designed to teach families about the importance of exercise and proper nutrition. The Shake It Up co-stars hoisted a big glass of their healthy drink of choice – milk – as they posed for pics and greeted fans.
Celebrity Teen Scoop was there and talked to the girls about their hit Disney series and got some great advice for other teens who may dream of having their own show someday.
Celebrity Teen Scoop: You two have such great chemistry on Shake It Up. Are you as close off-screen?
Zendaya: We’re closer!
Bella: I would say we’re more like brothers off-screen. We’re really chill and we fist pump a lot, mess around and watch TV.
CTS: What would be the most important advice for young people with dreams of ‘making it’?
Zendya: [Make sure] it’s a true passion of yours and something you really believe in. Like for us – or for Rocky and Cece – they really have a passion for dancing, and they didn’t let anything stop them. Of course they had some trials and tribulations along the way but they went for their dreams and that’s what I say you have to do.
Bella: And to make sure you want it – it can’t be just a hobby. It has to be your everything – you have to want it more than anything.
CTS: Who makes you starstruck?
Zendaya: I’ve never met her before, but if I met Beyoncé I would probably cry. I would just fall down on the ground.
Bella: A lot of dance choreographers make me speechless – it’s very embarrassing. But I would also say that If I met Christian Bale, I would be so scared to talk to him!

Bella Thorne wants Harry Styles to appear in her and Zendaya Coleman’s ‘Shake It Up’ series.
The 14-year-old star plays CeCe Jones in the original Disney series alongside Zendaya (Rocky Blue), and they would love to see the 18-year-old One Direction singer and his bandmates – Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne – follow in the footsteps of Tyra Banks and Cat Deeley by appearing in the sitcom. Bella exclusively told BANG Showbiz:
‘I think One Direction. I love Harry Styles and I love all of them, I think they’re all super awesome. I think all girls that I know love them, they’re all kissing Harry Styles posters.’
The Disney singer stars – whose ‘Shake It Up: Live 2 Dance’ music album is out now – count the late Michael Jackson and Beyonce Knowles as their biggest influences, and they are particularly in awe of how the former Destiny’s Child star has risen to fame ‘with such grace’. Zendaya added:
‘For me my main influence is definitely Michael Jackson. I love Michael Jackson, because he’s Michael Jackson – how much more iconic and legendary can you get? And then Beyonce because she’s truly talented in every aspect of entertainment and she’s done it with such grace and poise, that’s not easy to do.’

Bella Thorne recently joined a new charity called Staples for Students. She filmed a PSA for them, asking for help to raise the basic school supplies for those who cannot afford the required items for school, such as notebooks or pens. You will find the actual PSA down below, along with a behind the scenes video of her PSA shoot. Besides doing the PSA, she also did some promotional items for their website and recently released this statement about her involvement with the group behind this. Here is what she had to say about the charity and her love of school.
“I really want to raise my hand more, but sometimes I don’t because I get really shy, I love school obviously, I would definitely raise my hand to help collect school supplies!”
I am glad that she has joined this charity and is wanting to help bring a chance of a better education for those who just don’t have the means. While some may feel that this charity doesn’t do much, it does bring each student a chance to do better for the world and for their peers. Hopefully it will catch on and fans of Bella’s will follow her advice. Places like Target or WalMart are good places to build a stock pile of school basics for cheap to give back. That wouldn’t require a lot of money or even time, but could help a student have the proper education that every student in the US has a right to.
